Tom Clacy's H.A.W.X.
Now usualy im not one for flight sims, but this one really caught my eye. Yes, its a flight sim that you think might not belong here, but the game itself has its RPG'ness. You gain experiance from destroying other aircraft, with which you spend to buy new aircraft, upgrades, and weapons. Awesome game, fully recomended!!!

It's not really a Sim. This game however's mighty impressive. I've not had such fun on any PC flight game ever. It reminds me of the first time i played Air Combat on the PS1, just with great graphics (for a flight sim / arcade game)
Try the Steam Demo, it rocks. Those mid-air stalls and falling-outta-the-sky restarts are hilarious on replay...

I tried it out at i36 and wasn't too impressed by it. The dynamics of it were impressive, I just thought it was somewhat repetetive. Aim at target, lock, fire, change target, wait for lock, fire, maybe repeat the last 2 steps, fly over target, turn around, repeat...
Wasn't for me. Then again, I didn't get much of a go on it, I got partway through one mission and got boreded.

You really need to get into the game to get to enjoy it. You should try the Steam demo too.

I love it. Altho, its very short, completed in around 6 hours. But the online play is fucking flawless and awesome!

It's always been that cheap, play seem to have some kind of exclusive deal, so it sounds a good offer!
Re: Tom Clacy's H.A.W.X.

It's still an plane game...that says "ass-suck" to me. How many good flying games are there in the world that have been good? More to the point, why do publishers not put out more of them? The genre is sugary-shite... thats why.
